On Sunday (7/29) I checked out the Everett waterfront for Whimbrels again, and spotted 6.

Yesterday saw 8 Turkey Vultures circling over Everett's Rotary Park, on the Snohomish River. I keep seeing vultures in this general area over the summer. Dead horse, or cow or deer around ? My idea of a good TV dinner would be a nice big jet skier, that scourge of our inland waters, flung up on the bank after hitting a log while going too fast on the river. All that noise and hassle converted into a nice quiet vulture. That would be a real step up on the food chain.
