In the 2700 - 2800 block on W Commodore Way (on the way to the south sides of the locks) I've seen 40-50 Caspian Terns come up off flat rooftops (did not see the reason for the sudden uprising).
While at the locks there's a steady stream of outgoing terns exchanging calls with birds returning with fish in their bills. This would suggest dependent young on one or more rooftops. I haven't figured out a vantage point for a tally yet....

So what does one call a flock of (loud Caspian) terns? A tyranny of Terns?
