Another shot at a bird I couldn't ID from Malheur. It seemed larger than sparrow size but was a good distance away. The habitat didn't look like sparrow habitat, feeding in the mud (more like a shorebird's) and the patterns were not familiar. It's probably something I would recognize in another context but for now can't seem to find it. Any suggestions? So far the hawk I posted on the same flickr site has six votes for #1 hawk as a Red-tailed and #2 three to three between Red-tailed and Swainson's. Once again thanks for any help.
