disregard all former communications. communicant was full of beans (or
something). sometime between 1800 yesterday and 1400 today the smallest
bird flew the scrape. scott dodson was able to find him in a tree a few
dozen yards from the scrape. he seems to be able to fly short distances w/
an actual goal in mind. appeared to be looking up as if expecting manna
from heaven. the nest mates had a whole pigeon for their afternoon snack.
mom was seen to take a few morsels for herself. of the remaining three
birds, one seems particularly anxious to get his/her show on the road, so
it could be next, and that could be soon.

i tried to stay up there, but saturday w/ semi-decent weather results in
hordes of wedding celebrants and guests as well as lotsa other folks.
bring yr social armor.

a turkey vulture made a brief appearance seeming to be circling over
snoqualmie parkway. it did not venture over the falls proper which was
probably just as well. neither of the adults has ever shown any
collegiality where vultures are concerned.

regards,

t
