Tweeters,
In addition to the chestnut-sided warbler (which was still singing this morning), Denny just posted this to BirdYak. Several locals are out looking for both this afternoon and I will be once work ends in a couple of hours.

Here are also additional details on the warbler sent by Denny today:

"Hi Yakkers,

I went up Oak Creek Road this morning searching for the Chestnut-sided
Warbler. I was joined by Eric Bjorkland and his wife from Vancouver.
We heard the warbler singing regularly for over half an hour but did
not get a good look at it. Eric saw it fly once.

At about 2.4-2.5 miles up Oak Creek Road there is a large open area on
the west side of the road. There is a short gravel driveway into that
area. The Chestnut-sided Warbler was in the trees west of the open
area. There are several large ponderosa pines on the west side of the
open area. We heard the bird singing as we were standing on the edge
of a slope on the west side of the pines.

It was raining the whole time we were there, which may have kept the
warbler under cover.

Hi Yakkers,

Eric Bjorkland and his wife found an Eastern Phoebe along the Oak
Creek Road as they were leaving this afternoon. It was 1.5 miles from
the highway.
