I am so lucky to have these red crossbills coming down to my feeder. They start arriving at 7:00AM and continue until late afternoon. There is not more than 30 minutes between visits of one or more of them. Additionally they are so tame that I can walk up to within 6 feet of them while they are eating and they seem not to notice me (or they don't care). I think there are at least 10 of them total and I am starting to recognize individuals because no 2 of them (males anyway) have the same plumage coloration
I have added 7 more images to my website which show 4 different males one fledgling and I think 2 different females. I can't stop photographing them and they have become one of my favorite birds.
I also put up a couple of cowbird images because he showed up and begged me to take his picture (very tame).
