For those trying for these migrants in Oak Creek Canyon, Yakima County there is also a first year male Indigo X Lazuli Bunting. It was first observed by me last evening when several Yakima members were out looking for the warbler (to no success) and seen/heard again this morning (6:30 am) when I went back out for the warbler (success). Near the warbler location there is a brushy area west of the road and before the creek near the pull-in area at 2.5 miles up the road. The bird sings in this brushy area. Can be difficult to see. The song is a mixture of lazuli and indigo notes. The bird has an indigo deep blue head, white belly, bright white wing bars, no rust on the birds breast or flanks, patchy indigo coloring on the back and gray patches on the nape and back (first year male).

These three eastern birds within a mile of each other. Wondering if a eastern commuter bus took a wrong turn on the Missouri/Mississippi river....
