Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 7. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On June 6 a male MAGNOLIA WARBLER was seen in Bend. A CLAY-COLORED SPARROW
was seen June 5 on the North Spit of Coos Bay. A hybrid INDIGO/LAZULI
BUNTING is now being seen in Alton-Baker Park in Eugene. Sighting at Malheur
NWR Headquarters during the week included an OVENBIRD, BLACK-AND-WHITE
WARBLER, ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK, and a possible EASTERN WOOD-PEWEE.

Single NIGHTHAWKS were reported during the week from Eugene, Springfield,
Philomath, north of Corvallis, and Portland. Several BLACK SWIFTS were seen
June 5 passing over Battleground.

An IBIS was seen June 5 flying south over the EE Wilson SWA.

On June 3 a pair of BLACK-THROATED SPARROWS were at Smith Rocks State Park.
A FLAMMULATED OWL was calling June 5 at the Steins Piller Trailhead in the
Ochoco Mountains. On June 5 a pair of MOCKINGBIRDS were along Whitehorse
Ranch Road south of Fields. A late SNOWY OWL was photographed during the
week on Zumwalt Prairie east of Enterprise.
