Hi all,
Spent a few days in north central Washington and endured all four seasons
and, at times gale force winds but the birds were great. Highlights
included. CLAY-COLORED SPARROW at Chesaw on Byers Road just a 1/4 mile up
the hill from town. BLACK TERN at Beth lake. Those birds are very cool to
watch. Several VEERY and a day flying COMMON NIGHTHAWK off of SR155 along
Omak Creek. LEAST FLYCATCHER at Methow Wildlife area.Several COMMON
POORWILLS on the road after dark at Antilon Lake near Manson. And finally
ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER in Wenatchee across from the gun firing range on
Canyon No.2 Road. Guns blasting away, the bird didn't care
