Hello Tweeters,
Bill and I headed south from Spokane this morning from the WOS meeting to find the Eastern Phoebe in Rosalie. We arrived at the sewage ponds and bridge in bright sunshine about 7:30 and immediately heard a bird calling something like "phoebe" from the shrubs across the river from the sewage ponds. We used our bird call to confirm that this was the right bird. After a minute or two, the phoebe obliged us by flying in and perching on the telephone wire above the bridge. The bird continued to call and sat patiently while Bill took many photos. Neat bird. It was so nice to be outside, warm and in the sun!
