Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report
was made Thursday June 14. If you have anything to add call Harry Nehls at

On June 11 a possible SCISSOR-TAILED FLYCATCHER was at Minto-Brown Park in
Salem. A BROWN THRASHER was seen June 10 near Alsea. A male ROSE-BREASTED
GROSBEAK was in Newport that day. On June 7 a CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was near
Shevlin Park in Bend.

On June 8 an ORCHARD ORIOLE was photographed at Page Springs CG at Malheur
NWR. That day a REDSTART and a male BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER were at
Fields. Another REDSTART was near Roaring Springs Ranch and a NORTHERN
PARULA was at Sixmile Pond in Catlow Valley on June 9. A REDSTART was at the
EE Wilson SWA that day.

Heavy movements of RED CROSSBILLS have been reported during the week along
the immediate coastline. There were many reports of CHIPPING SPARROWS and
RED-EYED VIREOS during the week from Western Oregon

On June 11 an ASH-THROATED FLYCATCHER was at Coos Bay. A WILLET and 12
WHIMBREL were at the South Jetty of the Siuslaw River June 9. A female
LAZULI BUNTING WAS SEEN June 7 at a Toledo feeder.

The Troutdale Airport LOGGERHEAD SHRIKE was seen again June 9. That day two
BLACK SWIFTS were over the Sandy River Delta. A SANDHILL CRANE was seen June
10 over Corvallis. Two ARCTIC TERNS were photographed June 7 at the
Philomath S. Ponds. A possible flock of WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were at
Eugene June 9. On June 11 a CATBIRD was heard at Galesville Reservoir east
of Azalia.
