Stopping off at Field Riffle (undeveloped park on the river just downstream from Snohomish) briefly today (6/14) I again spotted two bright male Lazuli Buntings, and thought I heard a third one. So they've been around for 4 days now. Always nice to see here on the Wetside.

Driving down the Snohomish River road into Everett I saw 3 Turkey Vultures soaring over the river right where Ebey Slough branches off. I saw two here earlier this spring, and two or more here several times last Summer. Nesting maybe? Or maybe just lots of dead things around? Interesting that I keep seeing them in that spot.
