As an owner of an Android smart phone I have been eagerly awaiting the
advent of an application that enables mobile access to the eBird database.
Said application has not been forthcoming. I recently downloaded the
Audubon Birds e-fieldguide app from Amazon because it was recently their
free download of the day. Today I was delighted to find that the newest
update to that application includes mobile access to eBird data! If you
are an Android phone user who has been waiting for an android equivalent of
the iPhone app "BirdsEye," then this $3 app (that also includes a field
guide (although not nearly as good as iBird or the Sibley app...)) might be
just what you've been waiting for.

It is probably available on the google marketplace as well, but the amazon
marketplace has the Audubon app at this address:
