Subject: [Tweeters] Hutton's Vireo in Decline?

For several years I have kept tabs on nesting hutton's vireos along a
stretch of the Chehalis Western Trail. Although they have never
been common, I noted annually three nests in predictable locations along
the one mile stretch between Yelm Highway and the railroad tracks to the
south. Of those nests I never noted one successful nesting attempt. Last
year there was one nesting site that lasted a short time, this year I
haven't even as much heard a hutton's on that part of the trail. In
subsequent trips to other parts of the trail I have only found one male
singing this year. Just curious if anyone else is experiencing this or if
anyone has knowledge of the hutton's being a bird with cyclical population
patterns, etc.
