Coming back from a successful trip to see the Potholes Least Tern (see Tom Mansfield's message) I stopped along Huntzinger Rd hoping for a Franklin's Gull. No luck on the gull but did manage to have a pair of Black-throated Sparrows from a location not yet reported this year (but have been used in past years). The locations is halfway between Wanapum Dam and the Railroad Bridge on Huntzinger Rd (south of the dam). There is a small dirt road that leads towards the river on the left side of the road. The pair of birds were at this location.

Also notable were 2 lingering summer common loons (1st year birds) and a greater scaup pair above the dam.
