Here's your daily Everett Whimbrel report. Yup, still some Whimbrels in Everett. Yesterday (6/18) morning I checked, with the tide way out, and spotted two - not too hard to spot out on the open mud even with binocs. Again the daily tidal range is still on the increase and it doesn't take long to empty/fill the shallow bathtub that is Maulsby Mudflats.

I'm just doing quick driveby stops along W. Marine View Drive. If the tide is way out, a person might try scanning from the nearby 10th street boatlaunch, which gets you out near the edge of the mud even at a low.

So far Whimbrels here for 9 days straight since Ann Marie Wood first reported them.
