You can check sightings of Green Herons and Purple Martins by going to:

http://birdingwashington.info/dashboard/

Select "Washington" as the state

Then click on the "radio button" by "Look for a species" and select
"Green Heron" or "Purple Martin" or whatever species you are interested
in from the drop-down list. You will be shown the locations of recent
sightings for that species.

There have been recent Western Washington sightings for both those species.
