Subject: [Tweeters] Osprey nest on cell tower burns: why?

Last year a cell tower containing an osprey nest shorted out in Suquamish (Kitsap penninsula),
resulting in a spectacular fire. There were young in the nest at the time.

You would think that tower designs would assume multiple useage.....

The Osprey nest on the cell tower along Vashon Hwy and 204th on Vashon Island burned last night.
It?s pretty high up for someone to shoot fireworks up there. Does anyone know if there could be an
electrical short caused by the nest or the Ospreys? Has this happened on other cell towers?Ed Ed
