Today, Les Carlson, George Mayfield and I birded Skamania County finding a total of 74 species. Our best birds of the day were two EASTERN KINGBIRDS right along the Clark County border. The first was on Marble Road about 200 feet east of the Clark County line and the second was about a quarter of a mile away, on the north end of Fitzgerald Road. The second bird's tail may have been in Clark County, while it was sitting on the fence that follows the county line. I believe this to be a first sighting of this species in Skamania County and my 235th Skamania County bird. Wilson Cady
