Thursday a female Anna's hummingbird spent several minutes hovering?around a tree at the marina next to the building near the fishing pier which houses the coffee shop.? I could not figure out what interested the hummer as there were no blossoms on the tree and some of the branches were bare.??A close look at my photos revealed that the hummer was?raiding spider webs for insects.?? The hummer would find a web, then pick out small insects which had been caught in the web.?
