This morning Steve Mlodnow, Bill Twiet, Randy Hill and i heard a blue jay while viewing into the Port of Vancouver sewer ponds. The bird although never seen but heard regularly was moving west. We drove to the west side of the sewer ponds and could not relocate the jay by voice. What we did find at the SW corner ( this is near the Vancouver Lower river Rd) of the sewer ponds was a male singing Indigo bunting. We observed this bird for quite some time and the last look the bird was along the River Rd.
Also we had 3 horned grebes at Rest Lake, Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge.
