Along the stretch of Hwy 43 just noth/east of Lake Oswego along the Willamette I saw to extranorndinry birds up and close. #1 is a Yellow Billed Cuckoo. Typical coockoo form and vocalization and feed on lare gree/brown catepillars/worms in the riverside alder and cottomwoos. Made me sweat to watch them. The second bird, not quit so spectactular but easily exciting was a Grey Catbird feeding in the same are aout 1000 yeard and few paces south of the intersection with Terwilliger. Both were vocal and active. Good luck! Robin Conway
