I got a very close look at the juv. Yellow-billed Loon this morning on the N side of Travis Spit, from Gibson Spit (continuation of Marlyn Nelson County Park). The individual spent a majority of the time under water feeding, and would pop up at different locations, sometimes surfacing only briefly, so patience is required.
