I too went to Ocean Shores to see the Snowy Owls and also picked up a few agates on the beach. They are there but not as plentiful as further south. Agates, that is! Unfortunately the two hobbies conflict with each other - birds you look up, rocks you look down! I tried getting into wildflowers once but changed to rocks because when you step on a rock to look at a bird, you don't feel as guilty as stepping on that wildflower! :-)
