You can contact the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service via their webpage http://www.fws.gov/duspit/contactus.htm or call them at 1-800-344-WILD between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

A few months ago I received an email from someone trying to sell elephant tusks. I contacted the USFWS and they actually responded and said they would check into it. I don?t know what if anything they ever did about it.

It is a Rough-legged Hawk, not a Red-tail Hawk
Hope they have permit!

Hi,
Wanted to put this out there as there is a Taxidermy Hawk on craigslist in Seattle right now.

http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/clt/2861526308.html

I have flagged it days ago and it is still on and the price has been lowered so it has been updated.
He claims it is before they were listed as endangered (they are not, but maybe he meant saved from shooting).

Am I wrong in some way and it is legal to sell this?

EBay and craigslist has quite a few animals being traded and often these are poached animals.

Anyone else concerned with this kind of stuff? (sorry, no pun intended).

Thanks!
