Subject: [Tweeters] another nonaggressive species at feeders

The horde of Band-tailed Pigeons just descended on my yard, and that reminds me that they also feed in groups with minimal aggression, although they peck each other at times.

This has got to be one of the spookiest birds around. So often they burst into flight and leave the yard at high speed, and almost never can I see why. But two of them have been killed in the yard this winter, and I suspect Cooper's Hawks in both cases. I can see why they are a little hyper.
