After two trips to Boundary Bay, and having taken many successful photos of the Snowy Owls while staying on the dike trail, I still feel irked by photographers whom I saw disregarding signage and traveling far into the marsh to get their photos. Last weekend we saw one woman photographer get closer and closer to a Snowy until, at about 20 feet, the owl was flushed. With her 500mm Canon lens at that distance, I suppose she just had to get a full-frame shot of just the owl's face.

Calling out for her to leave the owl alone had no effect. It occurs to me that additional signage with just the right wording might be the answer. Maybe not, but here's my proposal? :)
