Counted 15 nests today with approximately 2 more in the works. Interestingly, I counted 41 herons so I suspect that more nests will be started soon. Most nests were occupied by adults tending to repairs and additions. I read Carol Schultz' report that there were no herons noted at Black River today and wonder if perhaps some are moving from there to the GRNRA site. Others of note were two Trumpeter Swans, several Red-tailed Hawks, two Coopers Hawks, and two VERY vocal Northern Harriers. Cheers, Amy SchillingerRenton, WAschillingera at hotmail.com
