My wife and I headed up to Brownsville Marina, Kitsap County, this morning
and with a welcome blue hole all the way up to Point No Point.
Stopping across from the Marina on Illahee Rd NE I spotted a lot of
Buffleheads and a few pairs of Common Goldeneye, four Greater Yellowlegs,
and one lone male Red-breasted Merganser. As I was capturing images of them
all I spotted, half way between the road and the marina one pair of Barrows!
At Point No Point probably 300 frustrating yards with my 100-400mm lens
north of the lighthouse, I spotted seven Red-necked Grebes.
All in all it was a great day with the sun to see the vibrant colors of
spring plumage.
