Subject: [Tweeters] One Pair Male and Female Barrow's Goldeneye

I often read reports on TWEETERS of Barrow's Goldeneyes seen in southwestern Washington, and the people filing those reports seem quite excited about seeing them. Now Barrow's Goldeneyes are certainly very handsome ducks, but here in Bellingham and points north Barrow's are quite common, and it's not a huge deal to see them. So my question is: are Barrow's Goldeneyes uncommon to rare south of Bellingham and Whatcom County?
