Subject: [Tweeters] Early, Late or Confused Brown Pelicans

This morning on my drive to work there was a group of about 8 BROWN
PELICANS far up the Columbia River near the Megler Bridge on the Washington
side of the Columbia River. I know there are groups of Pelicans that
overwinter near the Hammond Marina and the North Jetty, but this is the
earliest or latest I've seen them so far up the river. Typically in late
spring and summer the pelicans move up the river north of the bridge, so I
wonder if these are the local pelicans who were confused by the wind and
snow or the first of the migrating group.
