...

I was at the property where I watch the LSF Coquille falcons from when
the owner tells me the barn owls are back in his hayloft again (I saw
two owlets last year there) and he says I can climb up and have a look.
So as I get into the loft out flies an adult barn owl from the corner
where there are hay bales stacked. I climb the bales and sure enough
there?s the scrape in the back on one of the bales. And there in the
scrape is a clutch of seven beautiful white barn owl eggs
and??????????????????????..??.one
large reddish chicken egg!!!!!! What
a crack up.

It?ll be interesting if the chicken egg even hatches. Pretty sneaky
on
the part of the chicken.
