No rarities, but it was nice to see increasing
numbers of both Tree and especially Violet Green
Swallows at the fill. At least 8 of the former
and probably 2 dozen of the latter. It was also
especially nice in the afternoon bright sunshine
to see at least 30 Common Mergansers in the Bay to
the East of the Fill (never know what to call that
water). Males in their bright green (St. Paddy's
Day?) and white outnumbered the females by at
least 6 to 1. I met Connie on the way out of the
Fill and she told me that a Cinnamon Teal had been
seen in the Lagoon. I did not have time to go
check but may give it a shot tomorrow as the FOY
Cinnamon for me.
