Some sad news from my vacation. I found 2 dead alcids on the beach on Mar 16. Right after all the stormy weather. We were at Grayland Beach st park, and I found a dead rhinoceros auklet on the beach, and I also a second dead alcid on the beach. The second one was more decomposed, but appeared to also be an auklet. This was sad, I suppose I would speculate this was occurring from the stormy weather earlier in the week. I have yet to see a live auklet, and I think I'll feel better about this whole situation once I do. I thought this info might be of some interest here.
