I had an Evening Grosbeak at my feeder a few days ago. It was a female, but I still really enjoyed seeing her. I've never gotten a good look at one so it was exciting that she hung out for about 30 min. I will also note that she had more yellow than any picture I've ever seen of females, but certainly a female.
I also wanted to mention that I saw a BROWN PELICAN at Westport beach, WA. I thought it a little strange because I didn't think they came up this far. Anyways, it appears to be somewhat uncommon this far north. Cool to see, although I was hoping for puffins!
