I have seen a few great blue herons flying up to the nests in the rookery at the south side of the Edmonds marsh. ? Last year three pairs tried to nest there before being "evicted" by the Pt. Edwards resident bald eagle pair, which was a repeat of the year before.?? I don't give the herons much chance of nesting this year either as the eagle pair are back and?have resumed their regular aerial patrols over Edmonds.?? ????
