Hi, I suppose I should always post the migrants. I usually forget to.
Last Friday afternoon, (5:30-sunset) (we had been out all day, in the
Elma-Bottle Beach area) as I was perusing the attitude of the Virginia
Rails, who clammered to answer my Sora imitation, I caught sight of a
large flock of swallows. One was a Barn Swallow, but there were nice
numbers of Violet Greens, and a few Tree Swallows were in the bunch. It
was a really large flock, but I had not seen any all day. I was at this
same location much earlier in the day, and there were no swallows at that
time.

Also a Sora was calling along the Winslow Slough, not the whole call, just
the two noted upwards call. It went on and on, and answered me when I
called back.

Everything was very flooded, and on Ocosta third, there was a lot of water
over the road, and no shorebirds to be seen. That was from three to five...

Brady Loop was very flooded, and had small numbers of Plovers, and Greater
Yellowlegs.
