I've recently seen a pair of Varied thrushes in my back grass area and have
heard vocalizing in the morning for a few weeks now where I'm at which is
also in Bellevue. I am in the Microsoft area near the Pro Sports Club and
have a back yard that is mostly grass bordered with large conifers and some
deciduous trees and shrubs. I've noticed their call around this time of
year for the 5 years I've been here. Such a delight to hear their peculiar
low key whistle in the morning hour.

Also last weekend, there was a raven on top of one of the conifers vocally
quorking away as it was being harassed by crows. It eventually took off.
This was the second raven sighting in my yard in 5 years. The first one was
in 2008. Always a thrill to see who comes to visit.
