Hi, Hopefully a less garbled version:

Yesterday Marv Breece and I birded mainly Whidbey Island.

Highlights include at:

Sunlight Beach access to Deer Lagoon - Marbled Godwit (1), Whimbrel (11) and a Ruddy Turnstone.

Deer Lagoon - Marbled Godwit (presumed a different bird due to distance between locations) and Whimbrel (14).

South Whidbey Island State Park - a heard only Saw-whet Owl. Calling several times between 12:30 and 1 pm. The call was loud and unmistakable. Neither of us had ever heard a Saw-whet in day time before. Coupeville Flooded field - near to High School - Lesser Yellowlegs.
After leaving the island we passed Fir Island on the way home. We noticed a flock of shorebirds in a flooded field off Maupin Road. Marv found a Pacific Golden Plover amongst the birds. Disturbed by a Peregrine, the birds flew off north.

A good day.

Cheers, Steve
