Please join us this Monday May 7th at the Center for Urban Horticulture as Guido Berguido Operations Manager for Advantage Tours, <http://www.advantagepanama.com> one of the most reputable birding and nature tour operators in the Republic of Panama will present a slide-show illustrating why Panama is a birdwatcher's paradise. He will discuss biodiversity in tropical regions, and explain how Panama?s geographic location in the center of the Americas contributes to its great diversity of birds and how Panama's rugged topography has created centers of endemics or "Sky Islands." Finally, Berguido will illustrate how Panama acts as a funnel, concentrating millions of both raptors and shorebirds in a tiny area.


Please note the meeting will be held in the Douglas classroom adjacent to the greenhouse. Doors open at 7:00pm - meeting begins at 7:30pm.
