I just returned from 90 minutes at the Montlake
Fill - motivated for early start by the reported
Townsend's Solitaire. I looked hard for it at
7:30 without luck. But it is a gorgeous day so
continued the loop. Waterfowl way down and
seemingly fewer Yellow Rumped Warblers but more
Wilson's than I have seen before. Heading back
home, I intended to stop at the Pea Patch to give
the Solitaire another try and there were two other
birders there happily pointing and sure enough,
the Solitaire was out in the open perched on a
weed and even provided a great photo op.

Just before getting there I scoured the Alder
Grove and that is where all the Yellow Rumps were
but one was "different" and turned out to be
bright male Black Throated Gray... a nice bonus.
