Help.
We're going to visit family in Charleston, SC for a few days at the end of May -
beginning of June. They are not birders, but they will tolerate us, and of course
we will convert them. Our niece, Lily, seems especially ready to meet birds.

I checked Carolina birding websites and was overwhelmed with birding areas.
Would appreciate any suggestions for accessible areas within a reasonable
distance from Charleston.

Also any info on particular historical sites or other interesting stuff welcome.
Thanks.

Oh, on topic:
The Steller's Jays have been wildly successful nesting in the yard this year.
Good news: Yeah, them!
Bad news: SHUT UP!
Maybe they're going for round two.
