Warren Walker and I made our way around Mt.Spokane State Park today in beautiful conditions. Thanks to Warren's knowledge of the mountain, we quickly found my main two targets - Fox Sparrow and Dusky Grouse. Fox Sparrows were singing near the campground and the Dusky Grouse was found on Beauty Mountain. However, the best bird of the day was at least two Gray-crowned Rosy Finches near the summit. One posed nicely on top of a tree for some photos. We even spotted a Pika near the summit and black bear tracks in the snow. Here's the complete list of birds seen in the park today:

Also, this morning in my neighborhood, there is a small mitigated pond along Holly Road (in between Hallet and Westbow Roads) which has been attracting shorebirds. This morning as I leaving, I found one Solitary Sandpiper, one Spotted Sandpiper, and two Wilson's Phalaropes. A couple days ago this same pond had 3 Black-necked Stilts and 2 Least Sandpipers.
