I need to thank everyone for all the kind words and stories of dipper experiences; I promise I will get back to all of you once this chapter is over, and that will be soon.

This email is about day nine, ten will wait; I am not ready for the changes.
Tuesday started out like I expected, they were spread out over 400 meters of the river. I found two just past the second nest, in the morning, and the second female was feeding them. Dad showed up when I was there and gave the fledglings a few feedings. The fledglings like the area and look to stay the day at least. 2:30 PM a third fledgling shows, and after a while they all look to be settling into the area.

Three of the fledglings in a nesting territory of someone who is a stranger. The stranger fed them, and cared for them. She did what any mother would do, help a child that needs help. She deserves a hero's welcome. With three in her territory something is bound to happen, I wish I knew ahead of time.

Something has happened to the log where the #2 nest is, I can see the nest much clearer. I have seen a couple heads and mouths. They look ready.

For the first time I have seen a dipper sit down; pictures two, three, and four are of the lazy fledgling. The next series is a pecking fight, between siblings. A caddisfly casing series; when you see the larva look up and see the casing.

Enjoy.
