Today was another good day around the Port Susan watershed. There were
a couple of hundred WHIMBRELS on Stubb Road and four LESSER
YELLOWLEGS. The LAZULI BUNTING in a Stanwood neighborhood burst into
song in the brambles where it was first located. At Eide Road the
WILSON'S PHALAROPES continued along with a YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRD.
There were also several CINNAMON TEALS and one BLUE-WINGED TEAL drake
on the ponds near the discarded white sofa. . A SAY'S PHOEBE was
flycatching on the south end of one of the southerly pond. Another
couple of hundred Whimbrels continued along Utsalady Road near the
Camano Airport.
