What a week in Fremont! Last Wednesday 5/09, a Wilson Warbler on the rugosa out the kitchen window. Same day, in the back yard, 3 American Gold Finch. Thursday 5/10 and Friday 5/11 we had a Lazuli Bunting male visiting for sure, and possibly a female - first time I've witnessed that in over twenty years at this address. Then today, all day long, a black headed gross beak is visiting the feeder. Along with the more regulars- Bewicks wren, Stellar Jay, House finch, chickadee, Anna's Hummingbird, white crowned sparrow, crow, house sparrows and robins - all in the last few hours. All in a little Fremont backyard! I've added several more bird baths and it seems to have made a huge impact.
