My wife and I went on a non-birding walk (is there such a thing?) with some friends along the shore of Seahurst Park in Burien.? We encountered a flock (?) of 50+ band-tailed pigeons dropping from the trees onto a portion of the beach that had some very shallow drainage from the hillside.? Waxing poetic, one of our friends said that they were dropping like Fall leaves.? A crow seemed to enjoy annoying and disrupting the pigeons both when they were in the trees and on the beach.? It was not evident to us what attracted them to that particular spot on the beach.
