Hello Tweeters ,
Today at around 11.00 AM, KAY NORTON & I SPOTTED AN UNUSUAL LARGER SHOREBIRD
AMONG 225 RED KNOTS 25 Black -bellied Plover
50 Short-billed Dowitchers , 150 Dunlin,& 50 Western Sandpipers.
It took me over an hour the get the first photo of the Ruff, since he always
was standing in the back ROW WITH HIS HEAD TUCKED IN.
THIS BIRD had the white RUFFS WHAT REALLY HELPED TO FIGURE THIS WAS a
RUFF..We STAYED ON THIS BIRD OVER 2 HOURS before he decide to show of his
full body in view .Prancing on the beach all alone. I only had the
SHOREBIRD GUIDE BY Michael O' BRIAN,
RICHARD CROSSLEY,& KEVIN KARLSON.I TOOK MANY PHOTOS OF THIS BIRD,AND TRYING
TO FIND ANY ONE TO HELP ME TO GET TO
SHOW THEM ON TO TWEETERS. It BEEN A WILD SINCE I FOUND SUCH GREAT BIRD.I saw
one of this plumage's on a male Ruff in the
BERLIN ZOO in Germany 25 years ago.I ALSO BIRDIED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 5
WEEKS IN NISQUALLY,and thank every birder who missed me,it feels good to
know such nice group of birders to know and appreciate .
It feels so good to being so tired. We birded in Bottle Beach & WESTPORT
