Today, I had a Lazuli Bunting near my feeder...he was actually looking for seeds under my little plum tree.
He got a little tangled in some netting I surround the tree with to protect it from the deer. He made his way
out and perched on a stake for quite a time....then he flew right over my head. What an incredible bird.
Beautiful colors...!
I also had a family of Black headed grossbeaks...Mom and Dad and a juvenile and a couple more family
members, I presume...the Rufous Hummingbird came back three times, I hope to see him again.

These three species are first time visitors to my property on the east side of Lake Sammamish. I feel
so blessed that they found me....Lucille
