Hello, this is the Audubon Society of Portland Rare Bird Report. This report

A juvenile WOOD STORK was reported May 23 flying over White City in the
Rogue Valley.
GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES were reported during the week at Cape Blanco, Medford,
and at Unity Lake State Park in Baker County. A BLUE JAY was seen May 19
along Scoggins Valley Road north of Hagg Lake. On May 19 a female
ROSE-BREASTED GROSBEAK was in Eugene. A bright male SUMMER TANAGER was seen
May 17 at a feeder in Lakeview. A LEAST FLYCATCHER was calling at Calliope
Crossing north of Sisters May 22. On May 20 a TENNESSEE WARBLER was
photographed at Sawyer Park in Bend. A male BLACKPOLL WARBLER was at
Hatfield Lake near Bend May 18. An INDIGO BUNTING was photographed May 17 in
LaGrande.

Malheur NWR was very active during the week with an OVENBIRD and
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER at Headquarters and a GLOSSY IBIS at the Narrows.

At least 36 BLACK SWIFTS were seen at the North Spit of Coos Bay, and seven
at Cascade Head May 19. A late SNOW BUNTING was seen May 20 at the South
Jetty of the Siuslaw River.

WHIMBRELS were reported during the week at Scappoose Bottoms, Beaverton,
Tualatin NWR, Molalla, and the Philomath S. Ponds.
A PRAIRIE FALCON was at the Troutdale Airport May 17. A BLACK-THROATED
SPARROW was seen May 17 in Lake Oswego. A BLACK TERN was at the Tualatin NWR
May 19. A lone RED PHALAROPE was with 170 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES at the
Philomath S. Ponds May 21. On May 18 a PECTORAL SANDPIPER was Finley NWR and
another was at Hatfield Lake near Bend. On May 20 an ACORN WOODPECKER was at
the Tom McCall Preserve near Mosier. A female PINE GROSBEAK visited a feeder
May 23 in Logsden in the Coast Range.
